Hiking around Babad Do'ag Trail

Sometimes during the week I like to stop and hike little trails before certain jobs.  I take pictures at estate sale homes and a lot of them are out in some gorgeous scenery.

This trail up on Mount Lemmon (I know, that seems like the only place I go…) I drive past just about every time, but I’ve never stopped.  It’s called Babad Do’ag Trail.  It’s close to the base, has a parking lot, no fees and is really nice.  Once you park you walk up and across the street a little.  The trail is pretty smooth and has great views of the city and mountains.  I didn’t have the time to do the whole trail, looking online is says it’s a little over 4 miles roundtrip.

I did try and take some pictures this trip.  It seems like every time I go on hikes I never take any!  I think the biggest thing is I’m just walking, enjoying being outside!  I’m the type that likes to wander around, check stuff out, look at plants and find critters.  Be one with nature!  Ok, maybe that’s a bit much, but you get the idea.

Anywho, I decided since I don’t usually take any pictures, why not make a video!  This way you can still get a look at where I’m at.  So that’s what I did.  And you’ll be happy to know in this video I don’t talk lol.  You can just enjoy the desert and mountains ;)   Oh, I do get some cactus in my foot and have to get that out at one point, so there’s that…

The pictures I did take I added below.  Came across some cool cactus and saguaro skeletons!          I freakin' love the desert.

The parking lot here is the same one I stopped to take a few pics a couple months ago.  Some of those pictures are up in my Update blog post.  I took a picture of this cactus at night and had to snap the same one during the day!

Being up on the mountains looking back at the city can make me feel so big and so small at the same time... it's weird lol.

It’s nice being able to share (what I consider) such awesome places with everyone.  Some people won’t ever come here, have always wanted to see stuff like this, or even just miss it cause they’ve moved.  I’m hoping anyone interested, likes it!

If you want a nice little hiking trail, check it out.  I would love to come back here at night!            (stay tuned…hint hint)

What did you think about the video?!  Did you like getting a view that way?  Let me know what you think in the comments below! :)
