New Project!

I take a lot of pictures that no one ever sees...

Buuuuut I think that’s a lot of photographers in general...  Most artist (photographers, writers, performers, creatives, etc.) are their toughest critics and that includes myself.  I get very shy when it comes to putting my photos out there for some reason.  So if I'm at all hesitant about how I feel with one of my shots, it gets kicked to the “recycle bin”. (I say “recycle bin” because I don’t actually delete them lol).

But whenever I do put a picture out there that I just feel “ok” about and everyone really likes it, it makes me know the whole "beauty is in the eye of the beholder” thing, is true.

I’m going to be starting a new project that will involve some of these poor photos that have been tucked away on my hard drives ;)  I’m not going to tell you what the project is yet... but I’ll make sure I share some snippets along the way!  I’m really excited for you to see this little idea come to life!

The photos in this post are from what I would consider a somewhat uneventful night.  I got to hang out with my best friend!  (That's her shinning away! ----->)  However, I wasn’t really thrilled with the pics I ended up with.  BUT, that doesn't mean I can't share some right?!  Why let them go to waste when I did put my time and effort (and heart) into them.

did some lighting painting on these cactus and trail

different attempts at painting with my flashlights

So that’s the main idea with this new project.  Certain shots I don’t like, may be someone else’s favorite!  Not all pictures should be hidden away.  Everyone sees everything a little different...
